The KIBI library offers a great choice of books in English, Tibetan, French and German. The library is suitable for research work as well as for deepening our personal understanding of Buddhism. Because it’s the students themselves who are in charge of the library, the books are hand-chosen and reflect all our cumulative experience.
But what would the daily routines be without the extraordinary events that break them ? In KIBI, students are able to have direct contact with His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje as well as H.H. Künzig Shamar Rinpoche. These high teachers give blessings, empowerments and teachings, and attend periodic pujas. There’s also always the possibility of a chance meeting, for instance, on your way up the stairs to the coffee-shop. In this way, you really feel being at the heart of what you are studying and understand how precious the time is that you spend here.
